DESTACKERS / STACKERS

Most stamping lines require loading pre-blanked sheets. SAPI has a wide range of standard destackers, which can be adapted to suit our customers' specific requirements. Blank size and condition of the material determine the device that we decide to propose. In general terms, we can say that for small to medium-sized sheets (up to about 800 x 600 mm) a multiple station rotary destacker - able to contain stacks of blanks without pallet - is a very popular solution.
Medium to big-sized blanks are normally provided with a pallet, and require a double station linear destacker. All SAPI destackers can incorporate specific toolings or devices which make changeover time as little as possible. The "work keeper" facility, which enables no-stop in production due to magazine exchange, can also be delivered on most of the destacker types. Double thickness detection systems with automatic offloading of the double part can be offered on any SAPI destacker.

SAPI is also responding to the increasing customer's demand in the field of stackers for large blanks. These systems stack large sheets after a blanking or a shearing operation or after washing or lubricating tunnels. A typical area of application is the automotive industry. Blank sizes can reach 3000 x 2000 mm and stacks can be as high as needed. A very popular solution consists in a roll or belt conveyor (magnetic type or not) equipped with a centring device, a fast portal manipulator and one or two stacking areas, normally provided with an hydraulic lifting device.
