COMPANY PROFILE

SAPI has been able to build a reputation for itself and to continuously develop its products. Industrial automation has remained the one and only activity, the ownership of the business has never changed and thousands of references confirm our ability to provide lasting solutions for our customers' needs. What makes of SAPI the ideal automation partner is the combination of a range of well-proven off-the-shelf products (of great versatility and legendary reliability) with a unique capability to design personalised applications and solutions for new problems.

The role that our designers have played in achieving this success has been very important: the areas of mechanical and electronic design represent 35% of SAPI 's work, both in the development of new applications and in the design of specific production orders. Both offices are extensively equipped with Information Technology instruments to improve the effectiveness of design and rationalise data sharing. A specific project manager is assigned to each production order, to provide every customer with just one interface, who will manage with the system from order acquirement to the final testing.

The adoption of procedures complying with the standard ISO 9001 implies several moments of design re-examination, which involve the project manager and the commercial chief executive, thus granting a perfect coherence of the product with the customer's expectations.
The result of weeks, often months, of design is a series of components, which are provided by our storehouse and by one or more of our qualified suppliers. SAPI cooperates with a selection of local partners for the machining of parts and for the electrical panel assembly and prefers to concentrate on the strategic tasks of assembly and testing.

This is the reason why our production area looks like a laboratory rather than a workshop. An engineer is nominated to deal with the product from reception of components from the storehouse to assembling and final testing, carried out in co-operation with a software engineer.
